Group Projects and Finals

We're coming into the homestretch now for the first semester at McCombs. There has been a noticeable decrease in homework due for class and a significant increase in group projects. It seems like my study team is always meeting for one project or another. I really am thankful that my team gets along so well. I've heard of quite a few groups that haven't been so cohesive, and some that have even fought over the direction of a project. Really sad. I'm not sure if it has to do with some conflicting personalities, stress, or a combination of the two. Hopefully, these situations will get better next semester.

9 Weeks Old and Growing

Sadie is growing like a weed. At last count, she packed on approximately 3lbs in the past week. Still cute as ever though! She had a couple accidents over the past few days, but that may have to do with the new surroundings in Waco. Once we get back to Austin, we'll see if that comes to an end.

Look at those paws. She's going to be a monster.

Daddy's Little Girl

All was quiet on the western front last night. After a day of getting her used to her crate, she finally decided that she loved her new home. It probably helped that I hid little bits of "treasure" in her bed. It also helped that we gave up a blanket to Sadie, so that she could feel like she was sleeping with us. She was a bit exhausted yesterday, I'm guessing because she's been trying to acclimate to her new surroundings. One thing that is cool is that she is great at retrieving baby tennis balls already. She just entertains herself by chasing the ball for a while, then chasing her tail. Maybe I can get a video of that up here soon.

Daddy Needs Some Sleep

Sadie is a cutie, but also a handful. She goes to the bathroom every 2 hours, so the sleep factor was an issue last night. But if there is anybody that I don't mind waking up for, it's Sadie. She's only 8 weeks old, but she already instinctively plays fetch and loves to curl up at dad's feet.

I'm a Daddy!

So, I know I just got engaged, but we decided to have a little baby. The small, four legged, hairy type. Before your imagination goes into overdrive, I'll let you know, Sadie is the cutest chocolate labradoodle (Half Lab/Half Poodle)I have ever seen.

More to come, but she really is a daddy's girl...

Scooby Doo, Where Are You?

Imagine this. I wake up at 9:00am and my feet and the floor around the bed are covered in blood. Considering that I'm still wearing jeans from the night before, suffice it to say that I'm a little discombobulated. Getting to the bottom of this is going to take some major detective work.

I'm going to get to the bottom of this...
